Most of the learning initiatives around the world are focused on developing technical skills. While the technical skills are essential for all of us, it is the relational skills that allows our technical skills to be truly effective. Organizations, communities and families exist for a purpose and are driven by relationships between people and without their effective interactions, none of them would continue to exist. Whether you a are doctor, pilot, lawyer, teacher, engineer or a manager, relational skills are what make you a better leader.

Our vision is to make the world a better place through better relationships.

It is estimated that 80% of accidents in aviation is due to human error. Preventable medical error is the third largest cause of death in the United States. These figures indicate the role of human factors in safety critical industries such as aviationand healthcare.

In most cases, these errors occur inadvertently and are simply the result of interactions between various tangible and intangible systems elements. The tangible elements include airports, airplanes, hospitals, pilots and doctors; the intangible elements, such as language, emotions and trust, are also deeply involved in systems interactions. Because all aviation or healthcare organizations are fundamentally driven by human interactions, the exclusion of these intangible elements is not possible, and they should be considered with the same importance as the tangible elements.

We have developed a highly practical framework to develop a positive safety culture across the organization. Based on this framework, we have trained hundreds of students representing leading organizations around the world.

“Having taken the Aviation Safety Leadership and Communication Skills together with my team members, I found it to be a clear, concise set of communication parameters and skills, which we can use every day. The webinars led by Dan were both easy to follow for my staff, who are non-native English speakers as well as deep reaching in terms of engagement. What I really enjoyed about the pace of the course is the fact that, together with my team, we were able to discuss the topics, review them together and provide explanations as needed and, most importantly, we had time to practice what we learned. The time in between the lessons was enough for us to apply the principles, get some practice, which helps to embed the concepts and processes. Despite many years of working in the aviation industry, this course was a perfect reminder for the many, sometimes obvious things in life, which we learn and then put off to the side. Thanks Dan and Jinobi for your excellent support.”

We train executive coaches and life coaches worldwide and help them enhance and enrich their coaching by viewing it through the lens of emotions. This learning program doesn’t just talk “about” emotions but teaches you to embrace, understand and become comfortable with your emotions and your coachees.  It presents a practical framework that supports coaches in the emotional territory. The result is that the coach learns a set of tools that make emotions available in every coaching interaction.

“The majority of incidents and accidents in civil aviation are still caused by human factors such as a lack of interpersonal skills (e.g., communication, leadership and teamwork), workload management, situational awareness, and structured decision making.”
